Sherbrooke's running scene is built on two rivers—the Saint-Francois and Magog—that create flat, riverbank-friendly courses through the city centre. The Demi-Marathon RBC de Sherbrooke and Marathon Nighlight Sherbrooke both exploit this topology, tracing loops along the water where elevation barely varies. Cyclists find more interest 20km west toward the Appalachian foothills, where gravel and road routes climb past 300m; locally, the rail trails around Lac Memphremagog offer easier mixed-surface riding through lake and farmland scenery.
