Trilho dos Cogumelos
Trilho dos Cogumelos is a trail and nature race held in Vidigueira, a town in Portugal’s Beja district. It takes place in late March and offers runners two loop courses: 8 km or 15 km. The 15 km option is the more popular choice, while the 8 km route provides a shorter option for those seeking a less demanding trail run. The race is designed for trail runners and individuals seeking a manageable off-road challenge, distinct from road racing. Vidigueira also serves as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding region. Nearby attractions include the Roman ruins of São Cucufate, the UNESCO World Heritage city of Évora, local vineyards producing Alentejo wines, and Alqueva lake, approximately one hour away by car.
