Recurring 5K races near Palma

Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Mallorca 5000 Skyrunning
SAT OCT 3
Mallorca 5000 Skyrunning is a long-distance mountain race across Mallorca’s Serra de Tramuntana. It starts in Sóller at 6:00 a.m. and finishes in Pollença by 11:00 p.m. The race covers about 72 km with 5,000 m of climbing and 10,000 m of total elevation change, placing it firmly in the hard, technical category of trail running. Entry is capped at 400 runners, making it smaller than many mass mountain races. The route crosses emblematic peaks of Mallorca through the Serra de Tramuntana Natural Area, the largest protected natural space in the Balearic Islands. It is mostly trail, with about 75% on footpaths, 20% on tracks, and only 5% on asphalt. Seven aid stations are spread along the course. Local mountain clubs and the FBME organize the race, and runners must follow good-practice rules for protecting the area they are moving through.
10K 5K y Milla Ciutat de Palma
SAT OCT 24
Ciutat de Palma offers three non-competitive running distances in Palma de Mallorca: 10K, 5K, and a mile. This road-running event in the Balearic Islands provides options for both short-distance runners and those seeking a straightforward city run. The event listing does not provide street-by-street course details, but the format is defined: participants select between 10 kilometres, 5 kilometres, or 1609 metres. All three races are designated non-competitive, and the results section is marked as pending, not displaying current classifications.
Cursa des Siurell
SAT NOV 7
Cursa des Siurell is a charity running event in Marratxí, Mallorca. The start and finish are on Carrer de la Casa del Poble, in front of the Church of Sant Marçal. The main options are 12 km and 5 km races, with a 5 km walk and free children’s races, catering to runners and families. Entry is through Elitechip, adult registration costs 7 €, and proceeds benefit ASPANOB. The route includes urban streets, interurban sections, and neighborhood paths around Marratxí. It is marked and controlled, but not fully closed to traffic, with local police and civil protection managing the course. The Ajuntament de Marratxí organizes the event, which runs under FAIB rules. Bibs are collected at the start area before the race, and animals are not permitted on the course.

About 5K races in Palma

Palma Training Notes

Palma hosts 16 5K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals use the Passeig Marítim for easy Z2, sunrise shakeouts, and intervals when the wind behaves. The Bay of Palma gives you 20 kilometres of waterfront running, and the line from Club Nàutic Cala Gamba to Club Nàutic S’Arenal rolls through Es Carnatge, Can Pastilla, and Palma Aquarium. The Cityscape Sprint packs 3 kilometres through Plaza Juan Carlos I and Paseo Mallorca. The Harbour to Hilltop route climbs 6 kilometres to Bellver Castle. Mio Run / Walk Club meets Saturdays at 09:30 at Mio Clubs. Road Runners Mallorca meets Wednesdays at 19:00 at Decathlon, Plaça de l’Olivar. Hollyday Run Club meets Sundays at 9 AM and Tuesdays at 7:30 AM. The TUI PALMA MARATHON MALLORCA, Mitja Marató Ciutat de Palma & 10 km, and Zafiro Marathon sit as anchor races.

Locals ride the seafront path from Porto Pi to El Arenal for spins, coffee legs, and base miles through Portixol, El Molinar, Ciudad de Jardín, Playa de Palma, and Arenal. The South Coast Route starts in Palma and gives you about 70 kilometres of gravel mood without leaving the island feel. The Serra de Tramuntana sits north and west, so the real climbing lives there. The climbs there hit 5 kilometres at 5% average. 6% average, with peaks up to 18%. Some climbs run 7 kilometres with 818 metres of elevation. Reverb Mallorca, HC Bikes, and Isadore Apparel co-host social rides. The Friday Social Ride rolls from the Tan Line Store for about 60 kilometres with 600 metres plus. Mallorca 312, Jeroboam España, and Vuelta a Mallorca are the anchor days.

March to early June gives runners and riders the cleanest training block, and September to mid-November gives you the second one. Summer turns Palma into an early-morning city, because August averages 31°C for the high and 22°C for the low. The sea keeps the edges softer, and beach weather usually runs from late April to early November. Locals run before breakfast or just before sunset, then keep the middle of the day for swimming and shade. Cyclists still get base miles, but climbs feel better when the day is young. January still gives Palma a 15°C average high and a 7°C average low, so winter shifts toward steadier Z2, longer rides, and less drama for marathon plans.
