Amadora sits on the outskirts of Lisbon, offering quick access to both flat urban running and the forested hills of the Sintra-Cascais region 20km north. The 10th Duathlon Cross da Amadora is the local flagship event, while mountain bikers compete in the TAÇA INTERMUNICIPAL 3H Resistência BTT series across the region. Runners typically use the flat parks and riverside paths within the city, then head inland toward the Monsanto Forest for trail work and elevation gain.
