Seine marathon 76 - Rouen
The Seine Marathon 76 begins on the quays of the Seine in Rouen, Normandy, with the river alongside the runners from the start. It is a road-running event offering a full marathon, half marathon, 10k, 5k, and children's races, catering to marathoners, shorter-distance runners, families, and beginners. The event takes place on a Sunday in late September and provides practical race support, including pace setters, aid stations, toilets, and bag check. The course allows runners to see Rouen's historic center while remaining connected to the Seine, the 777-kilometer river flowing through Paris to the English Channel. Rouen marks the furthest inland point for ocean-going vessels on the Seine, placing the race on a river section with significant port history. Post-race, attendees can enjoy food trucks, a refreshment stand, concerts, and children's games. The children's program is extensive, featuring eight special races, along with snacks and medals for young participants.
