Bieg Wiosny Skierniewicka Triada Biegowa

Bieg Wiosny is the spring race within the Skierniewicka Triada Biegowa, a local running series held in Skierniewice, central Poland. The primary event is a 10 km race, complemented by a 5 km run and a 10 km Nordic Walking option on the same program. The course details are not extensively documented, suggesting a city sports event focused on accessible distances rather than a singular elite competition. OSIR Skierniewice organizes the race from its facility on ul. Pomologiczna. Participants should consult the organizer’s website for the most up-to-date race-day information.

garmin triathlon tour

The Garmin Triathlon Tour is a Polish triathlon series beginning in May in Żyrardów, visiting a dozen host cities nationwide. It features standard swim-bike-run races, with some stops offering shorter 1/4 and 1/8 distances. This allows both experienced age-groupers and newcomers to triathlon to participate without committing to a long course. Żyrardów serves as a compact race hub, with the start, finish, transition zone, and race office located at the Municipal Beach by the Żyrardów Reservoir on Ziołowa Street. The swim takes place in the reservoir, followed by bike and run legs on flat courses utilizing local streets and roads toward Puszcza Mariańska. Wetsuit use adheres to Polish Triathlon Federation rules, with the chief judge determining eligibility based on water temperature. Additional lake-country races are held at newer locations like Olsztyn and Charzykowy, with Ślesin also being a named event on the tour.

About cycling & running in Łowicz

Łowicz Base Miles

Running: Park Miejski is the local running default, and parkrun Park Miejski Łowicz keeps it simple every Saturday. The parkrun route has three laps, so the dice are thrown three times before coffee. The first lap runs through the park and along the embankment with a view of the Bzura River. The later laps go to the end of the embankments and back through the park. Locals use it for Z2, short intervals, and easy catch-ups. KS Księżak Łowicz, Klub Sportowy „Pelikan”, Uczniowski Klub Sportowy „Jedynka”, and Łowicka Akademia Sportu keep the scene local. Skierniewicka Dziesiątka, Bieg Wiosny Skierniewicka Triada Biegowa, and Polmaraton Szlakiem Walk nad Bzura sit close enough to feel like anchor races.

Cycling: Łowicz has mostly flat to rolling roads for cyclists. The typical route here covers 7 km and gains 106 m. The climbs sit in those small numbers, so nobody comes here for mountains. Klub Turystyki Kolarskiej „Szprycha” has been around since 1987 and runs Sunday cycling trips, rallies, and longer rides. Żtc Bike Race, Gravel po Lodzku, Duathlon Strykow, and Garmin Iron Triathlon Skierniewice give the calendar some bite.

Season: July and August are the big riding months in Łowicz, and locals know the summer rhythm by feel. June air can start fresh on the first Saturday and pick up a heavy summer edge with every kilometre. Park Miejski still works for runners when the heat comes, because the laps stay familiar and the Bzura embankment keeps the route open. Winter keeps running alive rather than shutting it down. The 170th parkrun edition happened on Saturday, December 13, and the Christmas edition was planned for Saturday, December 20. Cyclists keep the club habits through KK Łowicz and Klub Turystyki Kolarskiej „Szprycha”, then wait for July and August to bring the busiest road weeks back.
