The New Haven Grand Prix
Formula One cars race through the streets of Monaco every late May or early June for the Monaco Grand Prix. The circuit is shorter than the standard FIA minimum for a Grand Prix. It has been held on the Circuit de Monaco since 1929 and is part of the Triple Crown of Motorsport, alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The lap is narrow, hilly, and features tight corners, including a tunnel section that contributes to the circuit's unique rhythm. Overtaking is challenging, safety cars are frequent, and precision is prioritized over outright speed. Ayrton Senna holds the record with six wins, including five consecutive victories. Only two drivers from Monaco have won their home Grand Prix.
