Siracusa

Siracusa's running routes hug the Ionian coast and Sicily's southeastern tip—the VI^ StraFloridia and V^ Trofeo Corriaugusta are both 10km road races through the city's flat streets and waterfront. Cyclists face limited climbing around the urban core but can push south to Capo Murro di Porco (40m elevation) or northwest toward the Monti Iblei foothills, where limestone ridges rise steeply above the coastal plain. The sea-level terrain makes Siracusa fast for running; swimmers and trail runners often explore the rocky shoreline around Ortigia and Fonte Ciane inland.
