A Coruña's Atlantic coastline and Galician hills make it a mixed terrain playground. Runners have the flat Playa de Miño 5K along the beach, while the city's signature challenge is the steep Cronoescalada Sanrockeira, a 3.4km cycling climb that draws serious gravel and road riders to the inland peaks rising 200–300m above sea level. The rolling countryside within 20km—towards Breamo and the rural interior—offers both trail running and steady cycling through Galician woodland, away from the exposed coastal wind.
