Mo i Rana

Mo i Rana sits on the Rana River in Nordland county, where Arctic terrain and midnight sun create an unusual running environment. The Rana løpskarusell series — including Sentrumsløpet and Skillevollen — are five-kilometre summer races that anchor the local running calendar, mostly on flat or gently rolling ground through town and nearby valleys. Cyclists climb inland toward the Scandinavian mountain spine; the surrounding terrain rises steeply from sea level, offering demanding hill work and long daylight hours in summer, though winter conditions are serious.
